We listen, act, and transform
Hi, and welcome to my Monarch page. My name is Semi (pronounced "seh-mee"), and I am a Clinician of Color serving the state of Washington. I've worked in behavioral/mental health care for 5 years, and I typically work with adults experiencing a range of issues. I got my start by working in the area of substance use disorder (drug and alcohol problems), which provided me with a lot of valuable experience in treating nearly anything that's addictive, including relationships, shopping, food, gambling, etc. I also received a lot of exposure to things like domestic violence, dysfunctional relationships, communication problems, lack of direction in life, trauma, and attention problems.
While I'm formally trained in MRT, EMDR, MI, and more, I really like to cultivate meaningful, and supportive clinical relationships with my clients. I try to avoid just TELLING you what to do, and support you as you make your own decisions, by offering guidance, accountability, psychoeducation, and skills development. You can rely on me for consistency, and being non-judgmental while we get you to your ultimate goals for your life.
